Game of I-Told-You-So

This contains spoilers. I just watched Season 5 Episode 9 of Game of Thrones, and I have a few predictions to share (please forgive all misspelled names):

The Red Woman, who serves The Lord of the Light, does NOT serve Stannis or want him to be king. If you noticed, Tyrian saw another worshiper of The Lord of the Light on his way to Meereen. She was declaring Daenerys as their savior and queen, and, truly, why wouldn’t she say that? Not only is Daenerys local-ish, but she is the mother of dragons and cannot be burned. Who in their right mind in the religion of R’hllor would not name this woman, made immune to the flames of the God, a goddess herself? She is the chosen one!

So, assuming this religion follows the same train of thought, the Red Woman appears to a vulnerable would-be king and offers the help of her god. What she is really doing is abolishing the House of Baratheon. As Robert had no legitimate heirs, and his bastards are wanted for their blood (how convenient that there is so much power in king’s blood, after all), that leaves Robert with no children to rule. Likewise, the youngest Baratheon brother is dead with no heirs. Now there’s Stannis, who has a shadow-ghost son that’s not been seen in years, and a daughter who Stannis just set on fire for the blood power nonsense (it only took a few drops last time – why did they need to burn the poor girl?!).  There is no more House of Baratheon once Stannis dies, which is likely to be soon with how headstrong he is for battle..

Why does this matter? Because The Lord of the Light is fueling a war, not because they believe in Stannis’s claim to the throne, but because they know Tommin does not have one. So, they armies fight down to nothing, become exhausted, and Queen Daenerys swoops in and reclaims the iron throne with little resistance from the heavily depleted armies.

I also predict the fall of The Wall. Jon Snow is too honorable to abandon his position, so The Wall will have to be history for him to move forward as a character. Now, The Wall could collapse due to White Walker invasions, or it could no longer be needed as Westeros is healing it’s issues with the Wildlings – either way it will be an unmaned relic before long, which means the Watch won’t exist any longer.

I think something else becoming more and more obvious is that Leanna Stark is Jon Snow’s mother, which is why he was kept close, but never claimed as a Stark to avoid attention. We constantly hear about how pretty Jon Snow is, and we’ve also heard how beautiful Leanna was and that the Targarian stole her away and killed her. Or, that’s what her brother wanted you to think. Really she was in love and pregnant, then died in childbirth.

It’s possible the child could have been Targarian or Baratheon, but the paternity really doesn’t matter unless we come to a point of Daenerys looking to marry Snow. Since everyone who could answer this question is dead, it’s likely we’ll never know paternity, though. But, what better way to keep a future king humble and safe than to raise him as a bastard? Although, with Snow’s aversion to sex, he’d better serve as The King’s Guard

I also think that, eventually, Arya will tailor her training to suit the life she wants to live and become a dragon rider who fights for Daenrys.

And I do find it odd that The two smallest Stark’s haven’t been on screen in ages, and neither has King Robert’s bastard. It’s been two seasons since we’ve checked in on some of them, and in a world so inter-woven, how have they not resurfaced?
